The Museum of Heilongjiang Province is located at No. 50, Hongjun Street, Nangang District, Harbin. As a Class A comprehensive national museum, it focuses on the collection, preservation, research and display of the historical culture, natural resources and artworks of Heilongjiang Province.
The Museum of Heilongjiang Province was established on June 12th, 1923, the same day when the Manchuria Research Society was set up.The former Harbin Moscow Shopping Mall(now the main building of the Museum of Heilongjiang Province) was reconstructed into the exhibition hall of the Manchuria Research Society and opened to the public.Since then,the name of the Museum of Heilongjiang Province has undergone a series of changes.In 1954, it was named the Museum of Heilongjiang Province after the integration of Songjiang Province into Heilongjiang Province.In 2006, it was listed, by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage,as one of the Sixth Batch of National Key Cultural Relics Units under Protection.In 2011, it was listed as one of the AAA National Tourist Attractions.In 2022, it was rated as an advanced unit of the cultural relics institutions in China.
In the museum are over 630,000 collections, which fall into 4 series and 52 categories, ranging from history, nature and art to literature.Basic exhibitions, theme exhibitions, and temporary exhibitions are open to the public.In the publicity and education program, "Encounters at Long Bo [The Museum of Heilongjiang Province ]", 189 educational projects on 7 themes have been launched.Volunteer activities have been carried out extensively, and some public education organizations have been set up, such as mobile museums and campus mini-museums .The research, development, and launch of cultural and creative products have met the cultural needs of the audience.More than 1.2 million visits are maintained annually.
The new Museum of Heilongjiang Province under construction is located at the Moon Bay to the northern part of Songhua River.The foundation stone laying ceremony was held on September 28th, 2010. And it is expected to be officially opened to the public in 2024.The new museum has a construction area of 80,000 square meters and covers an area of 150,000 square meters.The new museum, once completed, will serve as a vast cultural complex for the collection, protection, research, and display of the cultural relics and specimens of Heilongjiang’s history, nature, and art, etc. It will also be a significant cultural landmark of Heilongjiang Province.
黑龙江省博物馆位于哈尔滨市南岗区红军街50号。国家一级博物馆,是收藏、保护、研究和展示黑龙江省历史文化、自然资源和艺术品的综合性博物馆。
黑龙江省博物馆是1923年6月12日东省文物研究会成立做为建馆之日,是将原哈尔滨莫斯科商场(现黑龙江省博物馆主楼)改为研究会陈列所并对外开放,后黑龙江省博物馆几经更名。1954年,随着松江省并入黑龙江省,定名为黑龙江省博物馆。2006年,被国家文物局批准为第六批全国重点文物保护单位,2011年,公布为AAA国家级旅游景区,2022年,获评全国文物系统先进集体。
现有各类藏品63万余件,包括历史、自然、艺术及文献4大系列,52个种类;对外展出有基本陈列、专题展览、临时展览;对外宣教活动推出“相约龙博”系列课程七个主题189个教育项目;广泛开展志愿者活动;创办了流动博物馆、微型博物馆进校园等社教品牌;文化创意产品的研发与推出,满足了广大观众的文化需求。年均接待观众120余万人次。
正在建设中的黑龙江省博物馆新馆坐落在江北月亮湾,2010年9月28日举行奠基仪式。预计2024年正式对外开放。新馆建筑面积8万平方米,占地面积15万平方米。新馆落成后,将成为收藏、保护、研究、展示黑龙江地区历史、自然、艺术等各类文物及标本的大型文化设施,也将成为黑龙江省重要的文化标志性建筑。
